SGS certificate
SGS (Société Générale de Surveillance) provides independent inspection, weighing and quality control at load port. The SGS certificate confirms quantity, quality parameters and condition of the cargo at the time of loading. It is widely accepted by buyers and banks for grain trade.
Certificate of Origin
The Certificate of Origin confirms the country where the grain was produced. It is issued by an authorised body (e.g. chamber of commerce) and is often required by customs and buyers for import clearance and compliance.
Quality certificate
The Quality certificate sets out the commercial quality parameters of the grain: moisture, protein, gluten, falling number, impurities, etc. It is issued on the basis of analysis (including SGS or equivalent) and forms part of the contract specifications.
Phytosanitary certificate
The Phytosanitary certificate confirms that the consignment meets the plant health requirements of the importing country. It is issued by the national plant protection authority and is mandatory for most cross-border grain shipments. Without it, customs may refuse import.
Phytosanitary certificate
Official document issued by the competent authority confirming that the grain complies with phytosanitary requirements and is free from regulated pests. Required for export/import of grain.
